Product Application

EuOTA has submitted an Ozone Dossier for Product Types (PTs) 2,4,5 and 11. The submission of this dossier allows current products sold to these PT’s to continue being sold until the deadline is reached for those product applications. (Approximately 20 months after the approval of the ozone dossier).

Those applications falling outside of these PTs can no longer be supplied in the European Union as the September 2017 deadline has now passed.

Companies need to ensure their products are approved to continue selling into the EU. To submit a Product application you need to have access to an Ozone Dossier. EuOTA can offer this through either shared ownership or a Letter of Access.

The deadline for making a product application within the EU expired on July 1st 2024. A one year transition period to stop supplying products was granted to those companies not making a product application submission. This expired in July 2025. After this date only companies who have made a product application can continue selling ozone as a biocide for products classified under PT2,4 5 and 11.

The UK is now following a similar path to the EU, although behind in its implementation date.

It is important you check with your supplier if purchasing ozone for Biocidal purposes that they have submitted a product application.
